The project added parking and two new baseball fields to an existing site, which meant working carefully within an established master plan while still maximizing what the space could do.
After a thorough site analysis, CSG developed a design that balanced competing priorities: parking capacity, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, field layout, and spectator areas. Working directly with city staff through the construction document phase kept the design grounded in what the city actually needed.

The Unity Playground project with Draper City centered on an all-abilities design, a space intentionally built to be used and enjoyed by everyone. CSG handled topographic survey, site layout and grading, and landscape and irrigation design, coordinating alongside the city and their playground equipment vendor, Big T Recreation.
Projects like this one require close coordination between the civil and landscape scope and the equipment layout, small misalignments in grading or surfacing can compromise accessibility. Getting it right meant staying in close communication throughout, not just at handoff points.
Salt Lake Cemetery is the largest municipal cemetery in the United States, a historic site where infrastructure upgrades require sensitivity to existing conditions and the communities who use it. CSG partnered with Salt Lake City on a multi-discipline engagement that included master planning, civil engineering, geotechnical work, irrigation design, landscape architecture, and construction administration.
Bringing that range of services together through a single firm gave the city continuity from early planning through construction closeout, and ensured that each discipline’s decisions were made with full awareness of the others.
