Job Description

The Engineering Technician will conduct engineering activities including but not limited to design preparation, plan production, record documentation, and other technical support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conducts research to support engineering projects. Research will vary by project and engineering discipline but may include review of legal documents, record drawings, maps, and files to establish existing conditions and applicable industry or local standards
  • Interprets instructions, specifications, and other pertinent information and incorporates into deliverables
  • Conducts layout drafting, 3D modeling, formulating designs and drawings for various projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret and communicate engineering plans and specifications
  • Basic understanding of engineering design and drafting, and the terms and methods used in engineering procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Ability to work independently
